On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Fort Totten State Historic Site Foundation we welcome you to the Totten Trail Inn and encourage you to become a supporting member of the Fort Totten State Historic Site Foundation. The Fort Totten State Historic Site Foundation started as the Friends of Fort Totten group to assist the Fort Totten State Historic Site with site improvements and community activities. In 2001, the Foundation renovated the Captains’ and First Lieutenants’ Quarters to a bed and breakfast called the Totten Trail Inn Since that time the Foundation has worked to maintain this unique and fabulous facility and develop occupancy.
Our mission: "To serve as the advocacy and support group to utilize, enhance, complement, preserve and promote our irreplaceable Fort Totten State Historic Site and its activities."

Your support as a member of the Fort Totten State Historic Site Foundation (FTSHSF) is an extremely important contribution to the rich historical experience for visitors to the Devils Lake region. As a FTSHSF member, you will help our region and state showcase an impressive historical site and draw people to enjoy and learn firsthand the American Indian and U.S. military history of the Lake Region. Financial contributions are critical to achieving our shared goals and help augment state support for this significant regional attraction.
Visitors to the Fort Totten Historic Site, the Totten Trail Inn, and to the Devils Lake community also help support the greater Lake Region community. In fact, in recent years, over 400 visitors staying at, or sight-seeing at the Inn were directed to several area businesses for additional shopping, outdoor activities, and restaurants.
As the FTSHSF continues to work on attracting more people to the Totten Trail Inn, the Fort Totten State Historic Site and the surrounding region, we hope we can count on you to join us in support this historical treasure.
Please use the below form to renew or join as a new member of the Fort Totten State Historic Site Foundation. An annual newsletter will be sent to your email with news of the site and Totten Trail Inn.
